New Year's Eve 2014-15

We already told you about our shopping trip to buy the components of our New Year's Eve dinner.  Here are the results:

Homemade foie gras (made by Maxine in her cooking class a couple of weeks ago) with a sweet wine for the Jura region of France.

Pate en croute from Hugo Desnoyer with a red Bordeaux from the Medoc.  The pate was outstanding.  So good, that we plan to buy more when we go there for lunch next week.

Maxine's version of veal milanese with a side of roasted broccoli.

Our cheese platter included Livarot, aged Comte, and a goat cheese (whose name I forgot).

Our dessert course -- raspberry cake from Lenotre with champagne.  It was beautiful and delicious, tasting like the essence of raspberries.

The cake was so beautiful, I had to include a second photo.

New Year's Eve at the Arc de Triomphe.

Including several hundred thousand other people celebrating the beginning of 2015!

This is Happy New Year in Swedish (thank you Google Translate).

Happy New Year to all our friends and family!  All the best to you in 2015.
