Tom's Pictures Nov 25-30

Some random pictures from this week in Paris, Burgundy, and Toulouse!

Monday, walking around Paris.  This is my attempt at capturing the mundane and showing how pretty it is...

This is the same "shopping mall"

A shop that sells nothing but ribbons!

Monday night around 11:30 Emmy and I went out for our evening walk.  We ended up at the large avenue near the apartment, Grand Armee.  It's the continuation of Champs Elysee (the name changes to Grand Armee) after the Arc du Triomphe.  We saw a parade of sail boats, shrink wrapped, parading down the street.  I asked someone if Paris was near the ocean and she laughed.

We are now in Burgundy.  A small hill town view.

and Emmy and Maxine in front of the town's castle.

Emmy exploring.  She's got an enormous amount of energy and we try to give her a chance to explore, if the area is safe.

Emmy and Maxine again!

Another attempt at capturing the mundane and trying to show the beauty.  A wine grower's shed amid the vines of Burgundy.

And a small plot of vines with the owner's marker (the stone tablet) in the foreground.

The hotel we stayed at in Burgundy (near Beaune)

Also at the hotel.  But what I was going for here was this -- we have a picture of our last dog, Cassie, in front of a similar pot at the Luxembourg Gardens.  This is Emmy's version.

In Toulouse.  Bill & Isabelle's daughter, my god daughter, taking riding lessons
